Gideon, one of the greatest of Israel’s military men and judges,
He faced a mighty army with only a few hundred,
He did not argue or complain or ask for more leverage,
Like Gideon, may God help me to always obey His message.
Gideon, a man of great ability whose name means warrior,
Obeying God’s Word made him stronger and bolder,
He trusted in the Lord, who was his shield and holder,
Like Gideon, may God help me to overcome sin, have faith and be holier.
Gideon from the poorest family, the least in his father’s home,
His faith showed that an elephant can be murdered by a little worm,
He defeated his enemies without a sword or a bomb,
Like Gideon, may God help me to be victorious and always to perform.
Of profound impact was the faith of Gideon,
A mighty man of valour showed faith with action,
His victory is historical, not turned to oblivion,
May God help me to have the faith of Gideon.
Hebrews 11:32-35 (KJV) – “32 And what shall I more say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. 35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection.”
Gideon was the son to Joash the Abiezrite (Judges 6:11). According to Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance, the name Gideon means warrior, the name Joash means given by the Lord, and the name Abiezrite means father of help or my father is help. Gideon was a judge and a military leader who delivered Israel from the oppression of the Midianites. An angel of God came and sat under an oak tree (known as a terebinth tree) to talk to Gideon. According to Thorn and Claw, the oak’s tree sturdy trunk and sprawling branches represent strength, longevity and endurance. The acorn, the fruit of the oak tree, symbolizes potential, growth and prosperity (Thorn and Claw). Oak trees are known to withstand storms and hurricanes and live long lives.
We have derived the meanings of all these because everything mentioned in the Bible has significance. Nothing is mentioned by coincidence. Gideon’s name means warrior. He probably did not know this or he might have not taken the meaning of his name seriously when he told the angel of God that he is the least in his father’s house (Judges 6:15). The angel sat under the oak tree probably to give a message of strength because the Israelites were in a state of weakness as the Midianites were oppressing them. The name Joash which means given by the Lord meant they would get victory from God. Abiezrite, which means that my father is help, signified that they would get help from God, their father.
“Gideon was the son of Joash, of the tribe of Manasseh. The division to which this family belonged held no leading position, but the household of Joash was distinguished for courage and integrity. Of his brave sons it is said, “Each one resembled the children of a king.” All but one had fallen in the struggles against the Midianites, and he had caused his name to be feared by the invaders. To Gideon came the divine call to deliver his people. He was engaged at the time in threshing wheat. A small quantity of grain had been concealed, and not daring to beat it out on the ordinary threshing floor, he had resorted to a spot near the winepress; for the season of ripe grapes being still far off, little notice was now taken of the vineyards. As Gideon labored in secrecy and silence, he sadly pondered upon the condition of Israel and considered how the oppressor’s yoke might be broken from off his people.” – Patriarchs and Prophets, Page 546.1, Ellen G. White.
Judges 6:12 (KJV) – “And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.”
Judges 6:15 (KJV) – “And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? Behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”
The angel of the Lord (God speaking through His angel) calls Gideon a mighty man of valour. In Judges 6:15, Gideon tells God he is the least in his father’s house. God does not address you according to your present situation. He addresses you according to the potential He sees in you because He is the one who has given you that potential. You may be the worst sinner, but God calls you His child. You may be poor, but God calls you rich. God addresses you according to the purpose He has given you to fulfil. Abraham was 99 years old when God changed his name from Abram to Abraham (Genesis 17:5). At that time, he had no single child, but God called him Abraham, which means father of a multitude.
Jeremiah 1:5-7 (KJV) – “5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. 6 Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. 7 But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.” God told Jeremiah not to say that he was a child. In other words, He was telling Jeremiah not to speak of his weakness and inability but do what God commanded. Therefore, if God addresses us according to our potential, it is an act of faith to address ourselves the same way.
“We should not talk of our own weakness and inability. This is a manifest distrust of God, a denial of His Word. When we murmur because of our burdens, or refuse the responsibilities He calls upon us to bear, we are virtually saying that He is a hard master, that He requires what He has not given us power to do.” – Messages to Young People, Page 309.4, Ellen G. White.
Do not give Satan power by discussing what you cannot do or voicing your challenges too much. Instead, talk about your strengths. When walking according to God’s will, believe that you have achieved your goals even before you achieve them. 1 Samuel 17:36 (KJV) – “Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.” David believed he had defeated Goliath even before he physically defeated him.
It should be habitual for you to speak the language of success. Avoid thoughts and words of doubt. It is not arrogant to speak success as long as you tie God as the enabler of your future achievements. It is arrogant when you attribute your success or something that you look forward to achieving to yourself. Talking loudly about your weaknesses and challenges does not make you humble as many people think. Instead, it gives your enemies the power to exploit the loopholes in your life.
Petition your challenges to God and avoid voicing them out because there is nobody in this world that you can be 100% sure that they are your true friends. Hannah did not even tell Eli, the high priest, what was troubling her. Instead, she prayed silently to God. Few will genuinely feel sorry for you when you tell people about your burdens. A Swahili saying says, “Mzigo wa mwenziwe ni kanda la usufi.” Translated in English, it reads, “The burden of another person is a belt of feathers.” Ellen G. White discourages us from sharing our problems with human beings and encourages us to share our problems with God. The reality is many people will pretend to be sorrowful when you tell them of your problems, but deep down in their hearts; they don’t care, while some are happy that you are facing those problems. Secondly, when you tell people your problems you risk being misled or misadvised.
You may be facing innumerable challenges in your life, but God tells you in Romans 8:37 that you are more than a conqueror. Believing in God gives you self-confidence, making you surmount mountains you had never imagined. You will be able to do things beyond your physical and mental abilities. A good example is Nick Vujicic. Nick has no hands, but he has written books. He has no legs but has toured the world, inspiring millions of people and fulfilling God’s purpose. He has been able to do more than some of us who have been blessed with hands and feet.
Judges 6:13 (KJV) – “And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where be all His miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? But now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.”
You may be facing great calamity in your life, such as sickness, poverty or losing a loved one, but God assures you that He is with you. Gideon asked the angel why they were facing all that oppression if God was with them. Many of us question the authenticity of Biblical stories because we have never experienced miracles that people in the Bible encountered. Typically, when an afflicted person hears someone preaching a message of hope, they wonder how God can be with them while they face innumerable problems. Therefore, some Christians view Bible stories as fictional stories or allegories. The Bible is accurate, and everything narrated in it happened, and more incredible things than those can happen to us if we have faith (John 14:12).
Judges 6:17-18 (KJV) – “17 And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me. 18 Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.”
Gideon could not believe that it was the angel of God talking to him. Therefore, he sought a sign. He was not used to the voice of God because the culture of idol worship surrounded him for a long time. When we are constantly surrounded by evil and when we distance ourselves from God’s Word, we shall not be able to know God’s voice, no matter how loud it is. Even when God Himself appears to us, we shall doubt because we have not fostered a close relationship with Him. However, God, in His mercy through His angel, agreed to wait for Gideon because He is a God of love and is yearning to save and uplift. Later, we see Gideon testing God’s promise with a fleece (Judges 6:36-40).
God is not pleased when we lack faith. However, due to His love, He is willing to go to great lengths and depths to save us. Thomas behaved like Gideon. He did not believe that Christ had risen. Jesus was not delighted by his lack of faith. Therefore, He told him in John 20:29 (KJV) – “Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” However, despite all that, He still allowed Thomas to touch His hand so that he could believe that Jesus was indeed risen.
Judges 6:25 (KJV) – “And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Take thy father’s young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it.”
God commanded Gideon to tear down the altar of Baal and cut down the wooden image beside it. Gideon was afraid to do it in the morning because people might see him. Therefore, he did it at night. Gideon’s fear did not stop him from exercising his faith and obeying God. Even though he feared the people’s wrath, he still honoured God. Gideon destroyed the altar of Baal and built an altar to the Lord (Judges 6:25-32).
“Gideon’s father, Joash, who shared in the apostasy of his countrymen, had erected at Ophrah, where he dwelt, a large altar to Baal, at which the people of the town worshiped. Gideon was commanded to destroy this altar and to erect an altar to Jehovah over the rock on which the offering had been consumed, and there to present a sacrifice to the Lord. The offering of sacrifice to God had been committed to the priests, and had been restricted to the altar at Shiloh; but He who had established the ritual service, and to whom all its offerings pointed, had power to change its requirements. The deliverance of Israel was to be preceded by a solemn protest against the worship of Baal. Gideon must declare war upon idolatry before going out to battle with the enemies of his people.” – Patriarchs and Prophets, Page 547.3, Ellen G. White.
Judges 7:2 (KJV) – “And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.”
God wants you to seek Him with faith and put maximum effort into everything you do so you don’t waste the abilities He has given you. However, God does not want you to glory in your maximum efforts and think that your efforts have made you successful. The people Gideon called to join the battle were over 30,000 in number. If they won the battle against the Midianites, they would think that their physical strength and massive number of soldiers had made them win. They would fail to acknowledge God.
If Jesus had healed Lazarus before he died, people would think that Lazarus’ illness was not severe, and the miracle would not have appeared spectacular. God was angry with David when he took a census on the Israelite’s army because counting the number of soldiers showed that he depended on the soldiers more than on God (2 Samuel 24). God expects us to rely entirely on Him despite the resources and abilities he has blessed us with. Not once should we think that we are independent. That is the whole essence of the Sabbath. The Sabbath day allows us to focus on God as the Creator and acts as a weekly reminder to acknowledge our dependence on God.
Some organizations find it hard to find the best candidates to hire to fill the available vacancies. They need to understand that the success of that organization does not lie in the number of highly skilled and experienced staff. The success of all organizations depends on God, including those whose leaders do not believe in God. This is because God is the One who has allowed everybody (including unbelievers) to succeed.
“Sometimes I think it’s divine intervention when the right people show up, because as we all know, it happens that people who give great interviews sometimes aren’t so great, and vice versa. In that sense, every hire is a bit of a gamble. Solid gold credentials don’t always mean solid gold people, but sometimes they do. You have to give people a chance to prove themselves.” – Think Like a Champion, Donald J. Trump.
John 6:66-67 (KJV) – “66 From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him. 67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?” After Jesus was left by many of His followers, He asked the remaining ones if they would also go away. By asking them that question, He was presenting them with a choice of following Him or not. Do not fret when you don’t get friends or when people leave you because of honouring and obeying God. You don’t need many people around you. You need God by your side because, with God, you are the majority.
Judges 7:2 (KJV) – “And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me.” You may be frustrated because you have been actively looking for connections with high-profile people in society with no success. God may have caused it to happen that way because He has designed a way to help you that is different from what you were expecting. God may do that so you do not glorify your worldly connections instead of exalting Him. God knew that if He allowed a massive number of Gideon’s army to go and fight the Midianites, they would attribute the victory to themselves and say, “Mine own hand hath saved me.” Therefore, God decided to reduce the number of people in the army.
You may be a student in elementary, middle, high school, or university, and you are studying so hard while neglecting prayer and Bible study. Studies have kept you so busy that you have no time for God. When evaluating yourself, you wonder why your grades are so low despite all that hard work. Set aside time for God and see Him change your results.
Gideon agreed to reduce the number of people in the army. By faith, he followed God’s instructions on reducing them. Reducing the number of military personnel to make an army win defies all logic. We need to place faith in God above logic because God is the Creator of logic. He understands logic more than we do because He has more knowledge and wisdom than us. Blessed is the man who trusts in God more than the one who trusts in men. Gideon trusted in God and reduced the number of his army men. God’s power outperforms the highest possible number of human beings. One person who fully believes in God is more potent than trillions who don’t.
The first test that God told Gideon to conduct in the reduction of army personnel was a test of faith. Judges 7:3 (KJV) – “Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from Mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand.” God told Gideon to eliminate all those who feared because where there is fear (except the fear of God), there is no faith. We see that the majority of the people left because they lacked faith. Most people in the world lack faith even though they ascribe to religion. Very few people are courageous, and very few people have faith.
Judges 7:4-5 (KJV) – “4 And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go. 5 So he brought down the people unto the water: and the Lord said unto Gideon, Everyone that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink.”
“We might say that God eliminated the fearful and those who thought first only of convenience, the easy way. “The thought is disturbing, but it may well be true, that the composition of God’s army to fight Satan’s hosts in any day is really little different. How many Christians are so fearful of the enemy that they are of no real use in this warfare, and how many of the remainder are so self-centered, rather than God centered, that they find little place for effective ministry.” – Distressing Days of the Judges, Leon Wood.
The second test was a more severe test of faith because it tested faith in action. The first test was a test for those who profess they have faith. Therefore, Gideon told all those who feared to leave the army. Twenty-two thousand people left, and ten thousand remained. The remaining ten thousand are people who professed by word of mouth that they had faith. Did they really have faith? The second test was essential to prove if they indeed had faith. Many people say they love Jesus. Many people say that they have love, but their actions speak hate. Many say they have faith, while their actions speak fear. Many say that they are selfless, while their actions speak selfishness. The second test was highly essential to prove these people.
The ones who took the water by their hands and lapped portrayed more selflessness than the ones who knelt to drink. The ones who knelt to drink were more inclined to satisfy their thirsts than to redeem the people. The ones who lapped showed that their minds focused more on the goal ahead than on fully satisfying their thirst. They lapped because they just needed a little water to keep them going. Out of the ten thousand remaining men, only three hundred were found to be selfless and were found to have true faith.
Therefore, out of the initial thirty two thousand people, only three hundred showed genuine faith and selflessness, representing less than 1% of the population. In our world, people who are highly and truly successful in life are less than 1% because they have selflessly done their best to add value to the world. Adding value to the world requires faith. It requires a lot of discipline and sacrifice. Selfish people cannot accomplish lofty heights of achievement because they do not want to give their knowledge, time, abilities and resources.
Research shows that in most churches, only 20-30% of the congregation returns tithe. However, most churches run their operations smoothly because the tithe they have received is sufficient. It can be excellent if everybody in the congregation faithfully returned tithes and offerings. However, little is much when God is in it. By His power and multiplying ability, God makes the money the church has received from that 30% of the congregation enough.
Malachi 3:10-11 (KJV) – “10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.”
In Malachi 3:10-11, God promises special blessings to those who faithfully return tithe. Those few who return tithe, God blesses them to astonishing levels in that the tithe they have returned is more than enough to cater for the majority of people who do not tithe. Even if it is one person out of a congregation of a thousand returning tithe and offerings, God can bless that one person so much that his tithe alone would be enough to cater for the operations and sustenance of the entire church. The three hundred people alone in Gideon’s army were more than enough to defeat the multitudes of Midianites, which the Bible says were as many as grasshoppers (Judges 7:12). The three hundred men were not fighting for themselves alone; they were fighting for the nation of Israel. Those men were enough to bless everyone in Israel, including those who were eliminated from the army.
Judges 7:9-11 (KJV) – “9 And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand. 10 But if thou fear to go down, go thou with Phurah thy servant down to the host: 11 And thou shalt hear what they say; and afterward shall thine hands be strengthened to go down unto the host. Then went he down with Phurah his servant unto the outside of the armed men that were in the host.”
God instructed Gideon to go down to the camp of the Midianites. He made things easier for him when He told him to go with Purah his servant if he was afraid. God may give us heavy assignments, but He will always provide more manageable ways of doing them if the assignments are beyond our abilities. Hebrews 11:6 says that it is impossible to please God without faith. Fear is the opposite of faith. God understood that Gideon was not fully mature in faith. Therefore, he may have a little fear in his heart. That is why God gave Gideon the option of tagging Purah along. With that example alone, we can see that God is not as cruel as some of us portray Him to be, and inheriting eternal life is not as challenging as we portray it to be.
God entertains no sin. However, he does not demand a person to be 100% righteous immediately after surrendering their lives to Him. He understands that your faith is not strong enough, just like He understood Gideon’s. Therefore, He is willing to walk with you step by step until you reach the ultimate mark. If Gideon went there alone, he would fear and would easily be discouraged. If he went with Purah, he would be strengthened. Fellowship strengthens believers. Fellowship is a beautiful gift in building up the faith of believers. We should not worry or despair when we look at our imperfections because God is with us. Instead, we should depend on God always to help us overcome temptations.
Some people have given up on Christianity because they feel that the requirements are too much to be fulfilled in their current state. Some have given up on their God-given purpose because they feel that the work that needs to be done is a lot and requires a lot of money. The journey towards the goal is step by step.
A certain YouTuber said before he started his YouTube channel, he was begging friends to give him 10,000 U.S. dollars because that was the money, he needed to start producing quality content. He said he got frustrated when no one gave him the 10,000 dollars. However, he just decided to start with what he had. At the moment, his YouTube channel is generating more money than he had envisioned. He said that you don’t need to have everything to start. Start with what you have; along the way, things will keep coming.
Work on your business idea even if you do not have sufficient capital. Start with the things that don’t need money, and once you are set, God will provide a way for capital to come. For example, you need no money to write a vision statement when starting. You need no money to write down your mission statement, core values and business plan. Start with what you have.
No Olympic runner jumps from the start of the race to the finish line. Each step counts throughout the whole journey. God knew that even though Gideon had agreed to follow Him, he was not fully developed in faith and may have some element of fear resident in his heart. Therefore, he provided a way of strengthening him by allowing him to tag along with Purah. You might be saved but struggling with alcohol addiction. God will provide mechanisms for you to get out of it when you completely surrender to Him. He may do this by separating you from the friends you used to drink with. He may even give them jobs in different cities.
You may be struggling with homosexuality, masturbation, fornication, adultery, covetousness, stealing, gambling, lack of self-control and laziness among other sins. All hope is not lost. God will provide a way to escape what seems to be a bottomless pit. God is not looking for perfection. He is looking for a complete surrender to Him, and if you surrender to Him, He will work on you to make you perfect like Him.
Judges 7:13-14 (KJV) – 13 And when Gideon came, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along. 14 And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath God delivered Midian, and all the host.”
God sent Gideon to spy on the Midianites so that he could hear the dream that those two companions discussed. The two companions talked about a cake of barley bread collapsing the tent of the Midianites. Logically, a loaf of bread can’t make a tent collapse. A loaf of bread is weaker than a tent. That dream meant that the Midianites would be overcome by what they considered to be a weaker nation.
“We should take it to heart; our enemies, both human and spiritual, are at their core afraid of us. “Behold the host of doubters, and heretics, and revilers, who, at the present time, have come up into the inheritance of Israel, hungry from their deserts of rationalism and atheism! They are eating up all the corn of the land. They cast a doubt upon all the verities of our faith. But we need not fear them; for if we heard their secret counsels, we should perceive that they are afraid of us. Their loud blusterings and their constant sneers, are the index of real fear. Those who preach the cross of our Lord Jesus are the terror of modern thinkers. In their heart of hearts they dread the preaching of the old-fashioned gospel, and they hate what they dread. On their beds they dream of the coming of some evangelist into their neighborhood.” – Charles Spurgeon.
“A cake of barley bread might be a worthless thing; but if God were behind it, it would upset a tent!” – Frederick Brotherton Meyer.
Judges 7:15 (KJV) – “And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the Lord hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian.”
Gideon was delighted to hear that they were going to be victorious. God sent Gideon to spy on the Midianites to boost Gideon’s faith. Gideon might have doubted that the Lord was with them before he heard the two friends talking. After hearing the two friends talking, his courage and faith increased. When God gives you an assignment, and you conduct it faithfully and diligently, your faith will be amplified at the end of that assignment.
Faith in action augments faith. God has provided a conducive way for us to act in faith, directly proportional to one’s current level of faith. He cannot expect one new in faith to exercise the faith of Abraham or that of Jesus. The church is less powerful because many believers act with doubt instead of acting by faith.
God gave Gideon an assignment at the level of his spiritual development. God will give you an assignment at your spiritual level. Once you accomplish it, He will uplift your spiritual state and give you a more advanced assignment. Gideon had to accomplish the assignment of going to the Midianites’ camp before embarking on the actual battle so that he could have sufficient faith and confidence to fight the real battle. David believed he could kill Goliath because he had previously killed a lion and a bear (1 Samuel 17:36).
Judges 7:20 (AMPC) – “And the three companies blew the trumpets and shattered the pitchers, holding the torches in their left hands, and in their right hands the trumpets to blow [leaving no chance to use swords], and they cried, The sword for the Lord and Gideon!” Gideon and his men never used swords to fight. They went to war with the Midianites and defeated them with trumpets, jars and torches. Gideon captured and killed the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna (Judges 8:4-21).
Judges 8:22-23 (AMPC) – “22 Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, Rule over us—you and your son and your son’s son also—for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian. 23 And Gideon said to them, I will not rule over you, and my son will not rule over you; the Lord will rule over you.”
After Gideon had led a successful battle, he did not allow the glory to go to himself. Instead, he gave God the glory by refusing to rule over them and letting God rule over them. That was a tremendous act of faith. It is human nature to feel complimented and exalted when people praise us or want to promote us. This has led many to glory in their might, resulting in their downfall.
Gideon did not allow pride to dominate him. Therefore, he gave God all the glory. We need to have the faith of Gideon. Even when we feel scared, we should trust God’s almighty power and believe he will get us through every challenge. We should conduct every minor assignment that God has given us faithfully because it is through these small assignments that our faith is boosted. Lastly, when God makes us succeed, we should not glorify our efforts; we should glorify God.
GOD BLESS YOU!
Prayer
Dear God, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Help me always to know your voice. Guide me through each little task that you have given me. Please help me not to be proud when I achieve something, and help me to glorify you always. Amen.
