Love God more than money, power or fame,

Make it clear that you love Jesus without feeling shame,

Love everyone, even the poor, sick and lame,

When you do that, God will be proud. He will not be ashamed.

Everything, visible or invisible, was formed by God’s Word,

God made our lives easy, but sin made our lives hard,

Let’s open our hearts to God, and we will always be glad,

If we live by His Word, God will not be ashamed, and our lives will be at guard.

When God is not ashamed, He will give us a new name,

The old is gone with all the stains and all the shame,

When God is not ashamed, we improve, doing away with all that’s lame,

When God is the captain, we shall always win the game.

God is not ashamed of those who desire a better country, a heavenly,

God will reveal to you so much if you seek Him earnestly,

He will show you things that you never knew, even what’s in mystery,

When God is not ashamed, He will make you the best that you can ever be.

Hebrews 11:15-16 (KJV) – “¹⁵ And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. ¹⁶ But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for He hath prepared for them a city.”

God is not ashamed to be called a God of people who have wholeheartedly surrendered to Him. God is not ashamed to be called a God of people who have an honest desire to climb up the staircase or ladder of righteousness. As a result of God not being ashamed, the Bible says in Hebrews 11:16 (KJV) – “For he hath prepared for them a city.” When God is not ashamed to be called your God, He prepares good things for you.

“More Glorious than we can imagine – The lion, we should much dread and fear here, will then lie down with the lamb, and everything in the New Earth will be peace and harmony. The trees of the New Earth will be straight and lofty, without deformity.” – Heaven, Page 133.1, Ellen G. White.

Heaven is beyond our wildest imaginations and expectations. When God is not ashamed to be called your God, He gives you things that are beyond your wildest anticipations and fantasies. In this world, it is unimaginable to imagine a lion and a lamb staying together in peace and harmony. The lamb will run away from the lion, and the lion will eat the lamb if it comes close to it, but in heaven, it will not be so.

Revelation 21:18-21 (KJV) – “¹⁸ And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. ¹⁹ And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; ²⁰ The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.”

How many of you have ever seen a wall made of jasper? How many of you have ever seen streets made of gold and gates made of pearl? I once saw a small hand bracelet that is made of pearl being sold in Hong Kong for around one million U.S. Dollars. That is a hand bracelet, how much would an entire gate to a city that is larger than this world cost? The most magnificent and expensive buildings in this world have their foundations made of common rock.

Heaven has its foundations made of some of the rarest precious stones on earth. Most of us have never seen the twelve listed rocks that make the foundation of heaven in large quantities. Usually, when we see these precious stones (which are very rare), we see them in small amounts. A gram or a carat of one of these stones is very expensive.

Heaven is more beautiful than the most beautiful places on the earth. It is more spectacular than the Taj Mahal in India. It is grander than the Eiffel Towers in Paris or the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It is more pristine than the Whitehaven beach in Australia. Its appearance is more magical than the Fairy Pools in Scotland. More breathtaking than the Grand Canyon in the United States of America and more picture-perfect than the Huacachina in Peru.

We have seen beautiful paintings from legendary artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt, Gustav Klimt, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Jackson Pollock, Henri Matisse, Frida Kahlo, Caravaggio, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Raphael, Egon Schiele, Edward Hopper, Edvard Munch among many great others. All these artists took a great deal of time to create their masterpieces. However, all their paintings combined are far from the beauty of heaven.

We have heard good-sounding music from the likes of Beethoven, Johan Pachelbel, Mozart, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, The Beetles, Bob Marley, Mahalia Jackson, Cece Winans, Kirk Franklin, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie, Boyz 2 Men, Lucky Dube, Joseph Hill, Shaggy, Nicole Scherzinger, Jay-Z, Tupac, Nas, Vybz Kartel among many creative others. All their music combined does not come close to the music that will be played in heaven.

This is because no matter how perfect something on earth seems to be, it still has an element of error or imperfection since we are living in a sin-tainted world.

“In the land of fadeless day, Lies “the city four square;” It shall never pass away, And there is “no night there.” – No Night There, Hymn By John R. Clements. Heaven is a place that has no darkness. Heaven is perfectly perfect and flawlessly flawless. Those whom God is not ashamed to be called their God will access it and all the good things that come with it.

Luke 9:26 (KJV) – “For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My Words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.”

Some people know what is right but are unwilling to do it because they are ashamed of what their friends will think or say about them. People get into harmful habits of drinking and drugs in their teenage and youthful years because they want to fit in. Some people in government offices and high positions of authority engage in corruption deals when presented to them because they do not want to look foolish before the eyes of those offering them those deals.

Some people are lured by peer pressure in their various workplaces, and so they live beyond their means so that they can be at the same level as their workmates. Some students go to classes on Sabbath because they are ashamed to look less intellectual and enlightened. Some eat and drink things that they know are unhealthy because they do not want to seem out of place. When we obey God and put Him above everyone else without feeling ashamed, God will not be ashamed to be called our God.

Don’t be ashamed of God, and God will not be ashamed of you. Have faith.

Dear God, help me to love and embrace you and never be ashamed of you. In Jesus name, Amen.
