Get Truth Get Life

KEY TEXT: Joshua 3:11 (AMP) – “Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over ahead of you [leading the way] into the Jordan.”

The Ark of the Covenant went ahead of the Israelites, leading the way into the Jordan River. Inside the Ark was God’s law, the explicit Word of God (Deuteronomy 10:2, KJ21). Yet, that very Word led them not around the obstacle, but straight toward it, the flooding Jordan that stood between them and the Promised Land.

Why didn’t God’s Word direct them to an easier route? Because sometimes, God’s Word will lead you straight to what seems impossible, not to harm you, but to reveal His power and faithfulness.

2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJ21) – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

At times, obedience to God’s Word might look like it’s guiding you into difficulty. But just as the Ark went before Israel, God’s presence goes before you to make a way where there seems to be no way.

Isaiah 43:2 (KJ21) – “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee.”

Keep following God’s Word, even when it leads you toward obstacles, because His power is most clearly seen when you trust Him in impossible situations.

Examples of Obstacles God’s Word Can Lead You To

1. Returning tithe and offering when you barely have enough for food, rent, or basic needs.

Malachi 3:10 (KJ21) – “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

Faith obeys first and sees the miracle later.

2. Facing a tough school exam after you have prayed and studied diligently.

Psalm 138:8 (KJ21) – “The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me; Thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of Thine own hands.”

Your preparation is the seed; God’s favor brings the harvest.

3. Enduring financial crisis in your business or personal life even after faithfully returning a tithe.

Psalm 34:19 (KJ21) – “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”

God’s promises are not voided by trials; they are proven through them.

4. Being unappreciated or hurt by someone you have genuinely helped.

Ephesians 4:32 (KJ21) – “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”

Matthew 6:4 (KJ21) – “That thine alms may be in secret; and thy Father who seeth in secret, Himself shall reward thee openly.”

God sees your unseen acts of love and will reward you openly.

Keep Moving in Faith

When life’s Jordan Rivers rise before you, remember: the Ark of God still goes before you.
Keep your eyes on His Word, step forward in obedience, and the waters will part.

Proverbs 3:5–6 (KJ21) – “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”

So don’t give up when the path gets hard. Faith doesn’t avoid the waters, it walks through them.

Joshua 4:23–24 (KJ21) – “For the Lord your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over… that all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty.”

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for leading me even when the path seems uncertain or filled with obstacles. Teach me to trust Your Word and follow where You lead. Help me to keep walking in faith, believing that You will part every “Jordan River” in my life.
In Yahshua’s name, Amen.

• Step Forward in Faith: Identify one “Jordan” in your life, an obstacle that seems to block your progress despite obeying God’s Word.
• Pray over it, surrender it to God, and take one small step forward in faith this week, trusting that the same God who led Israel through the Jordan will lead you through your challenge.
