THE SEED IN YOU

The seed in you is a precious seed,

The seed in you is a seed indeed,

The seed in you should be a seed in deed,

The seed in you should be kept away from weed.

The seed in you is meant to grow,

The seed in you is meant to blow,

The seed in you is more captivating than a lion’s paw,

The seed in you is more significant than you know.

The seed in you is meant to make you a leader,

The seed in you is meant to make you a winner,

The seed in you is meant to make you a feeder,

The seed in you is more powerful than Hurricane Katrina.

The seed in you is planted in you by God,

The seed in you should grow at home and abroad,

The seed in you should give thanks to the Lord,

The seed in you should make warm the cold.

Genesis 1:11 (KJV) – “And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.”

In this verse, let us focus on the phrase “whose seed is in itself.” God designed all living things, plants, animals, and man, so they can only bring forth living things of the same kind. There is no way a mango seed can bring forth an apple tree. There is no way a dog can give birth to a cat or a lion, or an ape can give birth to a human being. This Bible text proves that the scientific theory of evolution is a lie.

The wisdom of the Bible tells us that the seed lies within the fruit. Imagine this: that tiny seed, when nurtured and planted in the soil, blossoms into a tree bearing a bounty of fruits, all of the same kind. Bishop Wayne Malcolm passionately reminds us, “You can count the number of seeds in a fruit, but you cannot count the number of fruits in a seed.” It’s a profound truth: God has entrusted each of us with at least one seed. What does this mean? It means that within you lies the power to overcome your challenges, gifted by the Divine. Consider this: the solutions to your problems are already within you, waiting to be realized.

Many seek happiness in external pursuits – relationships, indulging in pleasures like alcohol – only to find disappointment. But let me tell you, true fulfillment doesn’t come from outside sources. It’s found within, where God has already planted the seeds of greatness. Embrace this truth, and you’ll discover a wellspring of joy and contentment that no external circumstance can shake.

Some people think that it is the responsibility of others to solve their financial problems. So, their work is to blame the government or wealthy relatives for their economic misfortunes. The same people have been given gifts by God, which, if dedicated and surrendered to God, they will be astonished at how far their underestimated potential can reach.

“God destroys no man. Everyone who is destroyed will have destroyed himself. Everyone who stifles the admonitions of conscience is sowing the seeds of unbelief, and these will produce a sure harvest. By rejecting the first warning from God, Pharaoh of old sowed the seeds of obstinacy, and he reaped obstinacy. God did not compel him to disbelieve. The seed of unbelief which he sowed produced a harvest of its kind. Thus his resistance continued, until he looked upon his devastated land, upon the cold, dead form of his first-born, and the first-born of all in his house and of all the families in his kingdom, until the waters of the sea closed over his horses and his chariots and his men of war. His history is a fearful illustration of the truth of the words that “whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Gal. 6:7. Did men but realize this, they would be careful what seed they sow.” – Christ Object Lessons, Page 85, Ellen G. White.

God has given every living thing seed. Therefore, He expects us to bear fruit. It may be challenging to find out what your gift is, but if you ask God, He will indeed reveal it to you. And if you can use your gift to the maximum potential to glorify God, you will be surprised at how many people your gift can touch. God has placed solutions inside you. That is why He brought Eve out of Adam, and that is why He brings offspring/children out of a person.

Most times, when a child is brought into the world, they resemble the mother or the father. This very logic of reproduction also means that you attract who you are and what you are. Don’t expect to attract or find love while in yourself there is no love in you. If you are the type of person who holds contempt in your heart for other people, you will attract the same thing. This is not the law of attraction; this is how God designed things. Therefore, if you are looking for a life partner, improve yourself first. List down all qualities you would like the other person to have and work on having those qualities first. The same applies if you are looking for clients for your business. You may be looking for honest clients who pay you immediately. Seek to have those qualities first. You may be experiencing clients who delay your payments or who are dishonest. That may be God’s wake-up call for you to change your ways.

Genesis 1:12 (KJV) – “And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.” – God has already put a seed inside you and ordained specific laws on how to grow that grain and those laws are listed in Exodus 20 as the Ten Commandments. If you follow those laws, you will be very prosperous.

One of the promises of God in following the Ten Commandments is that you shall be the lenders and not the borrowers (Deuteronomy 28:12). Let’s put that into perspective, commandment ten says that thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s property (Exodus 20:17).

Most people get into debts because they want something that their neighbor has, maybe it’s a car or designer clothes or something else. They would not have gotten into debt if they had not coveted it. Another commandment of God is to honor one’s father and mother (Exodus 20:12). Do you know how many people are in prison today while others have been in terrible and severe situations, some murdered just because they chose not to obey their parents?

Another commandment is to observe the Sabbath as a rest day (Exodus 20:8-11). Some people work 16-20, seven days a week to get rich. The same people experience minimal results despite their grievous work. If they kept the Sabbath and acknowledged that God has the power to make them wealthy (Deuteronomy 8:18) and not their efforts, they would be prosperous financially. If they took that time to rest, they would be refreshed with new energy for the incoming week.

“It is in obedience to the law of God that the spire of grain bursts through the ground, “first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.” Mark 4:28. These the Lord develops in their proper season because they do not resist His working.” – Christ Object Lessons, Page 82, Ellen G. White.

God has planted a seed in you and has set forth laws for that seed to grow the same way He has set out regulations for the growth of all plants. Follow those laws.

“God created the seed, as He created the earth, by His word. By His word He gave it power to grow and multiply. He said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth; and it was so. . . : And God saw that it was good.” Gen. 1:11, 12. It is that word which still causes the seed to grow. Every seed that sends up its green blade to the sunlight declares the wonder-working power of that word uttered by Him who “spake, and it was”; who “commanded, and it stood fast.” Ps. 33:9.” – Christ Object Lessons, Page 81, Ellen G. White.

Psalm 126:5-6 (KJV) – “They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

God bless you!
